Millicent and Mabel’s Bed and Breakfast is situated in an historic adobe farm house, built before the turn of the century, on the south rim of Llano Quemado in Ranchos de Taos overlooking the Ranchos Valley. From the front porch there are expansive views of the Sangre de Cristos, clear up to Colorado. The home features all natural surfaces, adobe, wood, brick, plaster and concrete with high ceilings and abundant natural light.
The sunny guest room offers a queen bed with flannel sheets in the winter. It has a private outside entrance and porch as well as a small gas-fired Jotul stove to supplement the passive solar heat. In the private bath there are extra thick towels and hand made soap.
We are located 1 mile from the Ranchos de Taos Plaza and 5 miles south of the Taos Plaza and historic Ledoux Street where the Harwood Museum and Blumenshein House are located. The Taos Center for the Arts and the Taos Museum of Art are also located near the Plaza. The Taos Pueblo is one mile further north. There are four ski areas nearby. Sipapu is only a half hour’s drive away; next closest is the legendary Taos Ski Valley. Angel Fire and Red River Ski areas are roughly an hour and a quarter away.
